[Everybody but Iago Filter]

Iago has been interred in Zero level. He is not to have visitors, save for myself, and I would ask that any and all Wardens set to patrol down there avoid conversation with him. Be also aware that I know every individual that spoke to him on his last entry, Wardens and Inmates alike, private or otherwise. I expect that those Wardens that did, with the outside inclusion of Doctor Crane's Warden, out of courtesy, choose to take their turns in the patrol rotation next week, after he has been released.

To any Inmates that held conversation with him, particularly those that appeared to condone his actions -- if in the future I am led to suspect that any of you have been encouraging this behavior, you will not see or speak to him again, and I promise that shall be the least of your worries. I care not what your experiences with the victim happened to be; you're behaving like savages, and you're disgusting. If I must elaborate in order to help you grasp the extent of my meaning, then bear in mind that there's a library of stories written by my hand involving people bearing a carnal fascination with feces, and you, I find disgusting.

I have no intention of undermining you, Marquis. I won't praise a murder if it happens again. But neither will I patronizingly pretend to be Iago's moral compass. Because I'm not Judas.

No, Monsieur Iscariot spent two years keeping his mouth shut and supporting him while he licked the Master's bootheels and allowed hundreds of people, if not more, to endure lives filled with torture, terror, and death.

Spineless little worm that he was, at least he eventually redeemed himself. Even if he soured it by turning into a sobbing woman afterward.

You're not Judas. You're worse. All he did was stay quiet and keep his head down, never disagree. You would clap Iago on the back and commend him for taking a life.

You should try talking to Iago again about those years. Because that's not the way I heard it. And the 'redemption' you're talking about is, again, the reason why Iago hates him. So why should I aspire to be anything like that idiot again? Don't even pretend it would be for Iago's own good after the turmoil that nonsense put him through.

I commended him for taking the life of somebody I despise. I don't condone indiscriminate murder. But I am not going to try to force Iago to be somebody else, the way Judas did. I'm not going to betray him like Judas. I'm not going to insinuate myself as his secondary warden when he already has you.

I'm not going to be anything other than his partner.

Then the next time someone murders you, I'll have a laugh and buy a round of drinks for the lucky culprit and be none the worse an individual for it. I would long to exist in your reality if I aspired to play the part of the villains in my stories, flat and inhuman though they were.
