General Notice

Admiral, Iago's bed and books are to be removed from his chambers. A simple straw mattress will suffice.

Monsieur Sofer, if you are still experiencing shortages in the kitchen, feel free to add my Inmate to any shifts he does not already attend, and I want him on nightly cleanup. If he misses a shift, he is not to be fed.

My Inmate is not to be found anywhere within the vicinity of either the Master, or Judas Iscariot, without my prior sanction.

Then I will come to see him.

Stop being an obstinate child.

If the two of you had been mature about this from the beginning, it would have been a week's punishment, with visits to be supervised, and then you would have been done.

You're not inspiring me to end this any sooner.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-18 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
You would not let me see him period. That is what I have read. I have reasons for my anger and you continue to ignore them.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-18 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It is likely because Iago would not speak of his deeds publicly where you could read them and insisted on private comments. He answered some questions, I permitted visitation -- on the condition that he tether public apologies, which as you can see he openly refused to do.

What have I ignored? I am under the impression that I have responded to you at every turn.

Just because I do not respond the way you want me to, and I do not afford to you the same special treatment the two of you enjoyed under the Master, does not mean I am ignoring you.

You would have him say things to upset me.

I want to see Iago, even if just for a few moments. And I will do what you want me to. Be silent, whatever it is.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
I would have him be truthful with you. If you love him, then you'll forgive him. That's what love is.

Allowing them to do evil simply because you love them, however, is not.

If he completes a day of service, then with Sexby's approval, you may.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I do forgive him. I have already forgiven him, but you would not forgive him despite the fact that you should care for him as much as I do. You would have him see me as nothing more than a body to fuck and he sees me as much more.

Then I will sit and wait and encourage him from where I am to do his service.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
I would not have him see you that way, Judas. I spoke out of anger, then, and I apologize.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
You do many things out of anger and no one corrects you. I respond out of anger and I am condemned. Do you not see why this would frustrate me?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh they do, on occasion. Most times I must correct myself. Believe me that I understand that unfairness.

I had six Wardens in the time I was an Inmate. I'm not a stranger to being treated unfairly.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Did any of them ever take you from someone you loved?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Iago did, during the mirror flood.

...Of course I suppose that makes seven.

I'm not taking either of you from one another. I merely cannot in good conscience allow the two of you to be alone together right now.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
You said that he would never see me until he did his work. Or eat.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Since the stipulation for taking his meals is that he attends the services, yes.

I will tell you what I told him: The two of you, in leaving here, violated a trust, and it's one you have to earn back. For now, that means that your Warden and I must grow accustomed again, and feel safe leaving the two of you alone together. Remember: the last time the two of you were alone together, on this ship, you ran away. So naturally we would wish to know when and where, and for the time being, to supervise. Naturally, I expect Iago to work because for me to trust him again I must see that he is putting in an effort to re-acclimate himself, and show he is dedicated, but I would also like him busy and again, supervised.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
You two, on the same token, must earn back our trust. This day has been destructive in more ways than just from our side to yours.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely. Though I do not understand what conflict has arisen between yourself and Sexby, Judas, I do encourage you to speak to him with a little less finality.

When I said he did little but worry in your absence, I was not lying. You will not find a Warden more dedicated.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
I feel he insults me and he feels as if he doesn't.

And I don't wish him to be my warden any longer. Even through his dedication. The fault doesn't lie in him but in both of us.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
You feel that way because you are not well, and much has happened today. You think Iago has not demanded a transfer more than once since coming back?

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I had hoped he would get it earlier. But, you seem a much cooler head than before.

strikes not readable

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
What I said to you in that city is still true now. I'm not abandoning my Inmate, Judas. Not for anything. Not even my own peace of mind.
Edited 2010-04-19 03:42 (UTC)

Awhhhhhhhh. Maruiiiis.

[identity profile] heavenonthemind.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
And I won't abandon him either.
