Admiral, you naughty thing, there are numerous items missing from my cabin since its restoration, and you will return them. I cannot be expected to finish a novel when you're making off with bits of the manuscript.

If you wanted so badly to read it, you might have simply waited for the new chapter along with everyone else.

Marquis, that you are writing again is both unsettling and... heartening?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-23 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You're too kind, Monsieur.

If you have missed the previous two chapters, I have them archived in my journal.

And he would want your manuscript that badly...why?

I worry to find myself on your pages, good Marquis. My lapses in fidelity are far too well known.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-23 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
All I require is your honest opinion.
ext_956366: Malcolm Jamieson as Armand in the Scarlet Pimpernel wearing waistcoat and cravat nodding his head and closed eyes (bow) (are you sure?)

I could look then.

If you'd like.

Maybe the Admiral is trying to tell you something? Either that or he doesn't appreciate a motivational morality tale.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing would please me more.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I assure you I haven't the faintest idea.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, ma jolie petite critique. I wondered when you might appear.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Bit of light reading, perhaps?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
I am rarely complimented for the lightness in my works, my treasure.
ext_956366: Malcolm Jamieson as Armand in the Scarlet Pimpernel wearing waistcoat and cravat nodding his head and closed eyes (bow) (Hmm?)

A true artiste then?

Did you know that my wife is an actress?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Then you, Monsieur St Just, must have exquisite taste.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
I wasn't being entirely serious, Marquis.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Nor am I. Merely making conversation.

I could hardly be prejudiced against the career since it was through the theatre that my sister supported us when we were younger. I appreciate the sentiment. My Jeanne is beautiful and clever, and perhaps a bit too much of both for me. I hope she doesn't find me a dull stick of a mate.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
It is a rare thing. You must forgive me for not recognizing it as it is.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I understand. I am merely eager to return to some semblance of normalcy after last week's farce.

Normalcy?

Give me something to do. Other inmates get pushed around by their wardens.

Iago, if I did not know better I would think you were asking me to mistreat you.

There are always more hands needed in the kitchen.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
I despised the kitchens when I was there and I have no desire to return.

As for you mistreating me...well, let's just say I know better than to ask for that.

Then what occupation would please you more? You complain when I assign you reading. You are not being punished, so you will not clean. What does that leave?

The gym or the library. But I don't want a job right now. I just wish to be entertained.

How did you entertain yourself before you came here?
