I suppose that was a mite less work than it would have taken to finish my book, no matter how unwanted.

I cannot really tender an apology to anyone that saw anything of me; it was hardly my intention to pass anything along. Nor can I apologize for what I happened to see, in most respects, as that was also not my intention. You can rest assured what I've witnessed has either been forgotten or will be kept under my hat, as it were.
