In the meantime, please begin to study Stella and Blanche's reunion in scene 1 and Stella's conversation with Stanley at the start of scene 2. You will not have to memorize but please plan to come and read with conviction.

All I am asking is that you look over the role and read for me -- in front of no one else save for people who will be there for the same reason as you and will probably be just as nervous. If you find it suits you, then after that it is my job to make the audience disappear.
