Imagine my surprise, Iago, when I went to collect you this morning and found that you, half your wardrobe, and your journal were missing.

I am not going to chase you around this ship like the errant child you're behaving as. This is your one chance to account for yourself. Choose your words wisely.

Whoever is responsible for J.D.: My Inmate, Iago, is presently holing up in your Inmate's quarters. He is not to visit the other Inmates' quarters, nor are they to visit his without expressed permission. I welcome your cooperation in maintaining this. He was already known to be deceptive, but recently he has also proven to have violent tendencies, which he has expressed he acts on not with premeditation, but on a whim. For this reason he is to be considered dangerous, and should not be left alone with anyone.

I would also request that security escort him back to his Cabin and make certain he stays there. If he resists with violence again, he can he escorted to Level Zero for the evening instead.

At my death? I was stripped of my ranking before they tortured and killed me. I was Othello's ensign.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
A general, of course. Where are you going with this?

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Colonel trumps Ensign. Even if you still had rank to speak of.

So answer me. How should you be punished for insubordination? Have I not been fair, given your gross refusal to modify your conduct?

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Fair? No. I thought you were supposed to help me. Not continuously punish.

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I am helping you, by showing you there are consequences to your actions.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. I know that. It's very basic knowledge. I do something wrong, I get punished. But I haven't done anything wrong!

[identity profile] impure-tale.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be the judge of that. Consider me your new conscience.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Then how am I to know what you consider wrong until I do it and you punish me? Do I not deserve advanced warning of what you consider wrong?

Here is a novel idea: ask before acting.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not asking you before I do every small thing, dear Marquis. That's highly ineffective.

If it involves you doing more than sleeping, bathing, dressing, eating your meals, taking a shit, completing your chores or making public conversation, you will.

[identity profile] inhumandog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
As you wish.

Are we finished?

Behave yourself for security.
