I would like to clarify a certain issue. There have been debates as to how Edward Sexby would be dealt with after he attacked me in my cabin. At the time I insisted that I would not have the Wardens vote on this for two reasons. The first, which most assume already, is that I would like to decide that myself. The second, and most important, is that I was not about to demand that a system work for me that I spat upon not two hours before I was injured.

I still will not. Sexby has since sent messengers like the craven dog he behaves as to express that he felt it unfair that the decision should be left to me. When two people of the same stature have a disagreement, why should one take authority over the other? I would see more sense in this were the querant not doing so after already deciding that I was guilty and how I was meant to be punished.

No, it's not fair. If we were talking about fairness I would have your last remaining hand, and fuck anyone that dares suggest I wouldn't have the right.

That he would have the audacity to send people and not face me and speak with me as one man professing equality would to another is enough to shake away the layers of medicine and drug. I am angry and my body complains with me.

I have not made my decision. This whining will not induce me to consider more quickly. It is my answer and I shall render it when I wish to.

Yep. Lots of them.

You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine.

My reason is because I don't approve of people, especially wardens who should know better, beating up on unarmed other people.
everylittlegirl: (uh yeah)

Do you know why he beat him up?

My reason is because I think you shouldn't throw in your opinion when you probably don't even know the whole situation.

Of course I know, I just don't want to revamp the details of what happened where Sexby can read it and maybe get pissed off all over again. I know it's because a year ago he and Angelica came up with a plan that Sexby found insulting to his wife. Since Angelica agreed to the plan and since she's an adult who can make her own decisions, I don't think it makes sense to beat the Marquis up for it.

Did you talk to Sexby or Angelica about it? Or just the Marquis?

I watched the warden discussion where everyone was discussing it, including them.

Have you talked to them about it?

So you never actually talked to them?

No, but I never claimed to have any idea what I was talking about..

I can't remember if I did directly at all, but I know the details of what happened, and Sexby gave a pretty detailed account of the situation from his perspective. He succeeded in making himself sound like a jerk. Also, since the idea of petitioning the Admiral to demote Sexby came up, it's not like a jury of his peers would be likely to go easy on him. I figure it just doesn't make sense to give him a more severe punishment than the victim would want.

Whatever. Sexby wouldn't get demoted for this considering what some of the other wardens have done and not gotten demoted for. It would set a totally ridiculous precedence.

What about less severe? There's a difference between "talking about" something, even like demotion, and actually doing something even less than that.

Like? I mean, usually there's some reason they didn't, like recently being attacked and deemed temporarily insane. Realizing your wife was slighted, at least in his opinion, a year ago, doesn't qualify for that.

I still disagree, but my warden told me to leave it alone, so.. you can go back to protesting or whatever.
