Still more departures after such long tenures. I'm beginning to think it's me.

It may interest not a single soul among my favored readers that I have taken to using the pool with greater frequency. It removes much of the strain from exercise, but my, do my poor muscles complain after such rigorous exertions.

...Especially when I could be enduring these little aches and pains over something much more enjoyable. Never has a libertine felt greater disappointment.

Oh, so you would like for me to parade his shame before you and everyone else here as though that's meant to teach him anything.

And surprised at the notion that you would be foolish enough to threaten him. I hope for your sake that it's an empty one.

What Iago did was wrong and offended me in ways to which I believed myself immune. That does not mean I grant you freedom to exact what punishments you see fit. There are reasons that I am still his Warden -- the first being that I know how to effectively punish him when he has committed a crime, the second that I guard him ferociously, as one former resident Captain Swing might have been able to tell you.

I caution you not to give me reason to think I wasted my time in defending you. Am I being perfectly clear?

I didn't say I wanted that. I just want to know that you're doing something.

I don't intend to follow through on that threat. I was intended to make him paranoid and that was the extent of it. Otherwise, I would have at least ensured that the message wasn't public. Which, in itself, still probably wasn't the best course of action.

We're clear. I remember what happened after Rex was killed. You're perfectly capable when you choose to be.
