Although I know the answer, it serves a person well to consider what it is that drives a crowd of people -- even those who profess themselves relatively good, or even religious -- to relish the notion of hanging, shooting, or beheading a person in full public view.

Goodness, that sounds like a messy way to go about killing someone. Is the library really that much safer if you look at it like that? Some of the bigger tomes could concuss a body, I'm sure.

A blade is more useful than a heavy tome. People looking for a weapon are generally lazy. If they intend to put that much work into bludgeoning someone they'll use their own limbs.

It would be a shame if anyone go so desperate to ruin an innocent book that way anyhow. As far as comfort otherwise, my one wish is a place to freely go for entertainment other than the library.

I don't imagine any of the older occupants would use a book that way, regardless. There was once a very surly dwarf who worked in the library who defended the books rather ferociously.

It makes him tense to think about it. Someone else must be at the reigns now. Sho Minamimoto? Hardly Composer material, he hadn't the temperament, but with his power levels and Sanae's guidance he might make it work. Megumi, if Sanae gave him a push too? Maybe. Sanae should've been here to rescue him by now anyway.
