It might surprise the lot of you to know that I do intend to continue forward with the plans to put on a play. After much deliberation, I have settled on the same production I chose the first time, as I admire it so much that I regret it was never finished.

For those interested, on the fair and severely neglected stage in the dining hall, I shall be hosting a production of A Streetcar Named Desire, and I will be holding auditions for roles. I would also like volunteers to help with costumes, set design, et cetera. Once I have a few things in order I will make a more formal posting.

[Private to the Admiral]

I realize you're rather busy right now, but when you've a moment: I'd like copies enough of the play for a full cast and crew. Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire.

Once I have a few things cleared up in the engine room, I'll be glad to help you with set design and such things.

Oh. Uhm. I can't say I'm familiar with the work.

Why does the streetcar require a name? [Braxiatel would be appalled at his colleague's lack of theatrical knowledge.]

Holy crap, Davros jacks a thread.

[It's terrifying the things that come up in Davros' research.]

Research indicates that it is the transport's route that is so titled, not the transport itself, in an area of the Earth city New Orleans that is known for its loose morals.

[Then again, some things just don't come up in the course of research, do they?]

[Now Narvin is left with Davros and the phrase "loose morals" in the same mental vicinity. Plus he's left wondering what exactly Davros was researching to come across that tidbit of information.

He decides it's best not to ask.]

...

.......

I see.

So this play is somewhat...scandalous in nature? [If it's named after a place known for its "loose morals" Narvin assumes it must be a touch risque.]

...Huh.

[Completely different tone than he used on Megamind's post for an observation of what he said. Now, he actually likes it as a classic film and the questionable nature of the piece, but he's wondering how some people on the Barge will take it.

But then it's the Marquis.]

Been a while since I saw that one.

Nah. I don't think I'd be a good Blanche Dubois.

I'll help with costumes. I've got my own sewing machine.

I was so going to offer you up.

I can provide baked goods for morale? And help paint sets.

Desire, huh? Sounds like my sort of play.
