Lovely.

Yes Admiral, I think this shall do quite nicely; the accommodations are perfect and you have truly outdone yourself.

As for the rest of you, I trust I was not gone too long to have been forgotten, oui?

(ooc: he's baaaaaack)

The Marquis had been up and about for about an hour that morning but had not gone down to breakfast. Fresh from a long bath (how exhilarating to not have to use the public facilities any longer), he was dressed, now, just not fully dressed when someone knocked at the door. He threw on his scarlet robe; the sleeves hung heavily on his arms but he paused briefly to favor it with affection. In Charenton it had gotten a stain in a distracting place -- he was pleased to see the garment was as good as news, now.

Coming to the door, he opened it and smiled slowly seeing who it was.

He'd been looking forward to getting back to work, after all.

It wasn't just a robe. It was a red robe which, considering the Marquis's personality, seemed to suit him quite well. A plainer color would have simply made him look like an old man who hadn't gotten dressed yet. Red, however, was a more seductive color, something that went well with the sort who would keep those statues around. Tony assumed he still had them, even though he hadn't been in the room yet. The corners of his lips twitched upward as he resisted the urge to grin.

"I made some tentative designs for act three, I was wondering if you wanted to look at them and suggest any changes?"

Tony's own attire was far plainer; a blue flannel shirt, a pair of jeans, and a silver eyebrow ring. He hadn't been wearing it much lately, but the hole started to close so he put it back in. He didn't want to lose the opening entirely, after all.

"Do come in, then, and I'll take a look." The Marquis stepped back to permit him entry; his eye caught the odd glint of silver on the boy's brow, and he blinked. "I do not believe I have ever seen such a piercing before."

Tony nodded, coming in and setting the plans on a nearby table. Due to his experience working in movies, they had a professional look that he was proud of, an edge he had in this that other volunteers didn't.

"Yeah, it's an eyebrow piercing. They're a few centuries after your time."

"Interesting." Strange, but interesting. Ear piercings, he could understand, but was this not somewhat imbalanced? He led Tony to the sitting area and settled into his own chair.

Tony, seeing where the Marquis was leading him, scooped his papers back up and followed him to the sitting area, taking a seat in a nearby chair and handing him the plans.

"I kept the design fairly simple, even though there's only one set in one location, to go with the feel of the other scenes."

He'd kept those relatively simple as well, having a few props that would be fairly lightweight that would be moved on and off the stage, but were enough to brighten or darken the stage when need be and give a sense of a new location. The background flat itself was fairly ambiguous, an image that could be inside or outside or in any room of the house. There was a window off to the right side of it, surrounded by a gray that could be read as cement or as particularly dull walls. To offset this bleak color, the poker table was given a bright red checkered tablecloth, matching the plastic red chairs that set next to it. Anything at this point, of course, could be changed, and this was all shown with brief sketches and labels indicating length and height of the items as well as colors.
