128 - And now for a break in all the drops and farewells :|

Well, that certainly wasn't the most unpleasant flood, but it's already taken its toll. I might be some years younger, physically, than I was when I graduated, but it would seem my back certainly isn't. This is what I get for being hospitable and giving up my bed to a toddler and a puppy. I'll be by the infirmary later to have the matter looked into.

I have been entertaining the possibility of permitting Iago to see Judas without supervision or schedule, but I would of course prefer to be certain that you are in agreement, and under what conditions you feel it should be offered.

(ooc: The Marquis has been a good Warden/surrogate throughout all of this. He was firm and insightful. He played with Iago. He read to him. He was surprisingly more fatherly than he was to his own children. ...He also spent the entire weekend IN EXCRUTIATING PAIN, without letting on. Because he's been giving his bed to Iago and sleeping in his chair. So yeah. Go old dude!)

I was intending to discuss the matter with you myself, if only at a slightly later date as Judas did request a few days alone.

I would be perfectly fine with them doing so, as far as I am concerned. I think if we kept any restriction up any longer they would only do what Judas has gone and done anyway and find ways around said restrictions. I am also of the opinion that they - despite some instances which I have spoken at length with Judas on, are a better influence on each other than initially given credit for. I do believe allowing them to see each other would be far more productive, after this time, than disallowing it - which will only foster not only resentment, but a sense of futility to the whole endeavour.

Essentially, any further seperation is likely more undue punishment than actually productive time apart from each other, so I agree; but equally, I will ensure that Judas respects any restrictions you wish to place on them, provided they are reasonable ones.

Why not ask the Admiral to restore your youth and vitality? If such a flood is possible then surely he can do that for his wardens, at least, to make them more comfortable.

Because I'm not vain in that regard. I quite like the way I look, now, but merely wished to reduce some of the drawbacks.

Who said anything about vanity?

People treat you differently when you are older.

People treat you differently when you allow them to treat you differently.

It is irritating to be called condescending names purely based on appearance of age. That is not something I am allowing. It just happens.

You are allowing words to have that much power over you.

They are only stating the truth.
