I would remark with the same sourness how I did not expect the changes to last, but I for one prefer to be a little distinctive. Most are I suppose already aware of how vocal our current "Admiral" has become, and I do not bother to filter this message because I have every reason to believe he'll hear me no matter what I say.

If it's even a man. I will tell you that I do not think it is the Admiral.

Lucius, I will tell you and everyone else to stay off the main deck for now. It's becoming much too dangerous to traverse.

I'm pretty positive that it isn't the same Admiral.

I had been thinking that it was an inmate the slipped on board and had found their way to the Admiral's position without us ever having caught on. But now I don't even think that's the case.

Getting to the bridge is a little more challenging than an Inmate who'd never set foot on the Barge could handle, I should think.

That's the thing. I thought they'd been here before. And left, and came back. 'Cause a lotta people have been doing that.

Usually when it's someone we know they're not especially intelligent enough to disguise their voices. When Harkness, Kirk, and Solo took the bridge we could hear them distinctly.

The Master remained undetected for some time, however.

With some it's not a matter of intelligence. They just get it as an ability they can do. Another voice. Another face. [The animorphs on board and voice/form-modification in his universe got him thinking.] I'd like to figure out the motive but damn if it's not irritating as fuck just to sit around with my proverbial thumb up my ass.

Finding out 'why' will do nothing. He has to be removed from the bridge.

Unfortunately I don't know where the hell the bridge is at or I would. [And if he figured it out, he wouldn't say so publicly.]

Perhaps he has been possessed. Which would be highly irresponsible, all things considered.

I'll be remaining where I am, Marquis, I've no need for a scenic view at a time like this.

When this is over, you can look forward to seeing what the Barge is like on a normal basis. You've only had a glimpse so far, and an artificial one at that.

Monsoons in the hallway aren't the norm either, I take it? Fascinating.

How is your dog?

Much relaxed. She can be that way when she's visited by the people she favors most. [Meaning she's all over Iago right now :| Whom she regards as just another puppy and BEST OF ALL BEST FRIENDS.] You didn't say much about the walk you took together before. Did she behave?

[Familiar dog barking, and then the Marquis opens the door. Renate runs up to Iago but doesn't jump. She, too, seems to sense there is something wrong, and she lays her ears back and whines.]

I, too, feel that this isn't the Admiral. I have my own theories, but who knows if they're even right or not.

It's simple. He's me. Or at least, a version of me.

I would expect such an answer from the Master.

The Master is a tiny man whose only power comes from what passes for a brain. I am a god of mischief. Causing unrest and paranoia is right up my alley.

And besides, the one person a trickster cannot trick is himself.

Oh let's not brag about being deities, Loki. It makes you more invisible, to me, and I like you too much for that.
