Admiral, for each person on the Barge who is of an acceptable age, give them a nice bathrobe. Something in silk. Everyone has a right to enjoy such things.

...For the especially young ones, I realize that's too suggestive a present. A blanket for each of them (if there is more than one, I have honestly lost count). Rabbit fur.

For specific individuals I suppose I've a short list.

Arthas - The usual. Add an inch and a little extra girth.

Castiel - A statue of the Holy Virgin. Because why not?

Dr. Crane - A fine new coat. Something fashionable.

Rex Lewis - A puzzle of some sort. Something unique. Something to occupy his time.

Mademoiselle Knope - A nice brooch. Something in blue.

Monsieur Rhade - A bottle of fine wine. Pick a good year. Bottled on Good Friday. It's always stricken me as a day of liberation.

St John Allerdyce - A fine set of quills, ink, and parchment. Personalized letterhead. Something tasteful.

Mademoiselle Klein - A lovely hair comb.

Prefect - A nice set of nightclothes. Something soft.

(ooc: Hit me if you think your character would have been on this list. I'm blanking.)

Pere Noel,

Here we are again, late though my correspondence happens to be. If I could have anything I'd ask that you put the ship in to port someplace that we all might do a little shopping on our own, rather than hope you, in the spirit of charity, will do the running about for us. Not that you've ever gone astray, but someone must remain practical in all this. Failing that, enclosed is a list of requests:

Gift List -- for Everyone, Iago, Lucius, Stildyne, Claire, Arthas, Bellatrix, Prefect, Crane, and Seven )

My Inmate appears to be comatose.

It's been some time since I've had to field something such as this. Is it safe for him to remain in his cabin, or should he be moved to the Infirmary?

Those of his friends and acquaintances still remaining on the ship that have not experienced this before should be aware that he is not in any danger. His health is not failing. He will be fine, and more to the point, should awaken soon enough.

In other things, I have yet to take a fall on the main deck. I consider this a small victory.

I shall pen my gift demands to Pere Noel at a later date.

[Private to Iago]

How are you?

A lovely holiday, my dears. Perhaps some slight setbacks, but I am most satisfied to have enjoyed beautiful gifts and the joy of giving to others, even those with whom I've been at odds in the past.

Now now back to writing.

[Warden Filter]

I...confiscated what appears to be a riding crop from one of the newer Inmates earlier today. It struck me that it was the sort of thing he probably should not have had, and considering he did not bother to claim it was his own, I feel I was not out of line in doing so. Might I ask who this belongs to?

It seems well-used.

[Private to Iago]

Speak to me, my treasure. I've heard barely a word out of you since before Christmas.

(ooc: The Marquis got the riding crop off of Reaver, which was stolen from Holmes. That encounter may be drabbled later.)

Pere Noel,

Such a silly compulsion, to write anyone begging for gifts, but by now I understand that it is unavoidable. My third Christmas here. Imagine!

I require little for myself this year, though I would like to request a firearm of more modern make. One with a 'safety' setting.

My darlings, I've been entirely too quiet since my return from port, but I must admit that I've been completely run off my feet. So very much to do in so little time, but I enjoyed every moment of it and the company that I kept. This morning I did not expect to receive as much as I did, if anything at all. Allow me then to thank you each individually:

The Thank you List )

And finally I've been gifted by our dear Pere Noel with a companion. I am rather fond of dogs, so this little one will be a good distraction for me. She's rather energetic, so I am half-tempted to name her after Giselle. What do you think, readers? I shall have to read on her breed -- which according to this book is Groenendael.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the gala tonight.

Iago, I have not seen much of modern America as yet, but what little I've seen has left an enormous impression. We are both about to witness wonders that are unimaginable. Your first port, my treasure, is going to be one not soon forgotten. I promise you that.

We'll need to make preparations, however.

And one thing we're definitely not going to miss is the theatre. If we can find someone actually showing Streetcar it might be helpful to both of us, not to mention others in the troupe. Seeing it done might answer a few questions we both have. And if there isn't one, we'll find something else.

That being said, is there anyone here who might be willing to act as a guide for myself and my Inmate?

[Private to Henry West -- readable by Dr Horrible]

I feel silly asking this, but my Inmate is in need of some modern clothing. I don't suppose you or Billy might be willing to lend a set? He'll only need one, as I'll be able to buy him more.

[Private to Pavi]

And I would very much like a little time alone with you at some point. But you are perhaps better versed in the locale than I am?

Pere Noel,

Compelled to write to you though I very well may be, I realize you are the only source most of us have for these silly traditions of gift exchange -- and while I never professed any love of Christianity, I have never been averse to the familial aspects of the season when it has been my opportunity to enjoy them. For this reason I am resisting this a good deal less than I did last year. I am terrible at choosing gifts, however, so I will do my best.

If it's behind the cut it's not visible to the public. The rest is, though )

Finally -- for myself. I should like a dog. I know not what specific breed you should bring, but it must be an active sort, but also very loyal, intelligent, and most importantly protective.

I trust you to handle things.

-M. de Sade

(ooc: Simm!Master's gift? A beard trimmer. Haha, Marquis. The breed of dog he'll wind up with: A Groenendael.)

I did not expect gifts. Once I have time to sit down to write a few letters I'll be certain to disburse proper thanks, but truly -- I am moved. Captain Adams, I haven't had this vintage since I was twenty-five! Giselle, dearheart, you know me entirely too well. Monsieur Q -- merci.

I regret that I do not at present have the resources to provide gifts for the lot of you as well.

Thank you for the consideration. Joyeux Noel.
